EXTREMA: First Studio Webisode Released
September 2, 2012The first of four webisodes featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the long-awaited sixth studio album from veteran Italian metallers EXTREMA can be seen below.
The band entered Fear Studio in Alfonsine (RA),Italy at the end of May to begin recording the the follow-up to 2009's "Pound For Pound" with producers Tommy Massara (EXTREMA guitarist) and Gabry Ravaglia.
"It took almost two years to write and arrange the songs," says Massara. He adds, "These are the heaviest songs we've ever written."
In September 2010, EXTREMA announced the addition of bassist Gabri Giovanna (FUZZ FUZZ MACHINE) to the group's ranks.
Giovanna previously filled in for bassist Mattia Bigi during EXTREMA's summer 2010 tour.
"Pound For Pound" came out in May 2009 via Scarlet Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Set The World On Fire" saw EXTREMA going back to its thrash metal roots, with a very special guest apearance by HELMET's Page Hamilton on the track "You Make Me Sick".
